I admit, I am hooked on Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. But the premise of an alien/host love triangle seemed a little out there, even for my reading tastes. It took a bit to get into (though other readers have commented “so did the 2nd and 3rd Twilight books”) and after about 100 pages I found the premise and characters very interesting.

In the basic premise, Wanderer, is part of an alien race who has taken over Earth. They have done this by creating a host/parasite situation where the aliens bond to the humans. Melanie has been a resister, living outside of the society with her brother and lover. When she is captured, Wanderer is placed in her body. But Melanie is strong and Wanderer cannot suppress Melanie’s thoughts, memories and dreams leading them on a now symbiotic quest to reunite with the people she loves.

I think that’s about how far I can go without a spoiler. The ending was a little to neatly tied up for my tastes, but I’d love to talk to others about what they though.
